i went to ap liu street quite often.

once i went to ap liu street to buy some used tv/vcr/dvd remote control. since i was workng on a project in which i am trying to use radio to pick up interference/electro-magnetic activity of remote control, i bring a mini radio to one of shops on the street and used the radio to test the audio signal of different remote control.
one guy passed by and noticed that my radio is generating some 'bleep, bleep" kind of sound (but obviously he didn't know it is a radio), and he stopped and observed for a while, and asked me with amazment in his eyes: what kind of signal scanner is that? where do you get it?

i smiled and replied: this is just an AM radio.

he looks disappointed and walk away...
