The last time I was in Shamshuipo was probably in 2008 when Jaffa organised the last AiR. They had a 'house' party where the artists were living. I met the artists, and we shared a few cups of cheap wine. Nothing unexpected happened, but SSP feels quite heavy, humid and foreign in its 'cluster-ness'. I was excited by the landscape, I noticed the buildings were quite low, and there were people playing basketball.

Overlooking the rooftops, it didn't feel like HK, but quite human and accessible. The neighbourhood's buildings felt run-down and old, but life was lived on its surface. There were many old people. I was really intrigued by the neighbourhood.
