spy camera

I was in sham shui po in early august 2010 by myself. i was trying to buy a spy camera, the small-and-pocketable type. i was a little surprised that not a lot of shops carry it, but end up i got what i want in golden computer center. when i was paying, the staff asked me if i need it for spying my partner. at first i thought this is such an inappropriate question to ask but then i guess it's better than being suspected as a peeping tom in pubic toilet. it made me think of the line between public/ private, the way to watch/ being watched, and the matter of trust.
